FAIR TAXES:

GOOD FOR BUSINESS
GOOD FOR RESIDENTS
GOOD FOR PHILADELPHIA!

  • Raise $75 Million in Revenue.
  • Create Jobs with a Tax Cut for Small Businesses.
  • Fund our Essential Services!
  • No Regressive Trash and Sales Taxes.
  • No More Giveaways for Big Business.

Rolling back the Gross Receipts portion of the Business Privilege Tax to 1996 would raise about $75 million dollars in revenue for Philadelphia. We could exempt the small businesses that provide important Philly jobs, and shift the tax burden onto big businesses and outside corporations that only sell their products here! We can use this money to fund the essential services our city relies on, and start putting Philadelphia first.

Councilmembers Bill Green and Maria Quinones-Sanchez have already invested resources in exploring the GRT  rollback. (
http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/cityhall/90849469.html) It's time for all of City Council to step up and do what's right for jobs and services in our city!
